Los Músicos de Su Alteza
Compañía

A perfect blend of research, intuition, and imagination allows Los Músicos de Su Alteza to transform the ancient written scores of past masters into living music, while maintaining the utmost respect for their works. Since its foundation in 1992, the ensemble has delivered hundreds of performances—including concerts, recordings, scholarly publications, courses, and lectures—across Europe and the Americas, establishing itself as a reference group in the recovery and interpretation of Baroque music.

Over the past three decades, the ensemble has rescued a significant portion of the rich Hispanic musical heritage of the 17th and 18th centuries from Spanish and Latin American archives, drawing from the research of its founder and director, Luis Antonio González. Thanks to their work, once-forgotten or rarely performed composers—such as Joseph Ruiz Samaniego (fl. 1653-1670) and José de Nebra (1702-1768)—are now being widely acclaimed worldwide.
