Murcian soprano Olalla Alemán began her musical studies at the age of ten, singing in the children’s choir of the Orfeón Fernández Caballero (Murcia), where she also received her first lessons in solfège and piano. She later pursued intermediate vocal studies at the Manuel Massotti Littel Conservatory (Murcia) and the Teresa Berganza Conservatory (Madrid). She further specialized in Historical Singing, Classical, and Contemporary Singing at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMuC) in Barcelona.

She has collaborated with numerous national and international ensembles, including:

  • La Capella Reial de Catalunya
  • Orquestra Barroca Catalana
  • Forma Antiqva, La Antiqva, La Tempestad, Camerata Iberia, La Caravaggia
  • Consort de Violas de Gamba (University of Salamanca)
  • B’Rock (under Skip Sempé)
  • Música Temprana (Adrián van der Spoel)
  • Capilla Flamenca (Dirk Snellings)
  • Graindelavoix (Björn Schmelzer)

Since 2005, she has been a permanent member of Los Músicos de Su Alteza, directed by Luis Antonio González.

Solo Career & Recordings

As a soloist, she has performed in major festivals across Europe and Latin America. She has also taught courses and masterclasses in historical singing at:

  • University of Granada (Spain)
  • Universidad Juárez de Durango (Mexico)
  • University of Arizona (USA)

She has recorded for Belgian classical radio Klara, RNE (Spanish National Radio), and France3, as well as for major record labels, including:

  • Música Antigua Aranjuez, Arsis, Verso, Enchiriadis, Glossa, Alpha, and IBS Classical

Her recordings have received prestigious awards such as:

  • La Clef, Muse d’Or 39, Or, Prelude Classical Music Awards, among others.
